Are you of legal drinking age in your country?
We want to make sure we are encouraging responsible drinking at all times.
We recently made a donation of £1508 to Cardiff’s NHS Wishlist Group as a gesture of gratitude to NHS workers for their tireless work battling the COVID-19 Pandemic. The NHS Wishlist Group is made up of volunteers who donate their time to ensure that NHS heroes working on the front line are supported with food, drinks and toiletries; as well as donating games to childrens’ wards across the company.
To raise funds, our flagship Welsh Lager was temporarily rebranded as Rainbow Lager with 100% of the sales going directly to the charity. The entire country came together to support the project, with orders coming in from far and wide. The boss, Richard Anstee, had a few words to say:
“We’ve been incredibly fortunate to have the support of our customers over the last few months. We launched a home delivery service to try and make up some of the shortfall lost when the pubs were closed, and people have really got behind us as a local, independently owned business. With Rainbow Lager we wanted to give something back to the NHS heroes who have been helping to keep the country safe. Lager is Wales’ favourite drop and Welsh Lager is our biggest selling beer, so it was an obvious choice as a fundraiser. Our label printers, Reel Label Solutions, another independent Welsh company, donated the labels in support of the project so we could maximise the funds raised. We’re really proud to support the NHS Wishlist Group”
Thanks so much to everyone for supporting this project, and of course to our heroes working tirelessly for our National Health Service – we salute you!
Welsh Lager is the jewel in the crown of The Glamorgan Brewing Co.
