We’re really excited to announce that we’ve expanded production capacity at the brewery, installing two custom built fermentation vessels imported direct from a major international supplier.
These additions have almost doubled brewing capacity, enabling us to produce 270 brewers barrels per week – equivalent to about ninety thousand pints!
The expansion was urgently required to meet demand for our new flagship brew, Welsh Lager, while continuing to fill orders for national off-trade customers including Co- Op, Morrisons, Spar & Filco.
With two further national supermarket brands expressing serious interest in our range, our Managing Director Richard Anstee believes further additions to the brewery’s family of fermentors may not be far away.
“We have a major focus on our keg products for 2017, particularly our new flagship brand Welsh Lager. With locally made craft beer continuing make gains against mainstream competitors, we’re extremely excited to be able to introduce our products to new drinkers, across the country and beyond”
The brewery expansion has also created three new jobs – we’re now employing our first full time marketing executive, an assistant brewer and a dedicated lab technician to monitor quality and consistency across the product range.
